Used car dealer guilty of bank fraud, awaits sentencing

A well-known Kansas City used car dealer pled guilty in federal court on Friday to bank fraud charges.

John Hart, III, operated On Time Auto, Hart Family Motors, and Better Than New Automobiles, LLC from 2000 until 2009.

He awaits sentencing at a date yet to be determined.

Hart was indicted in September of 2011.

According to acting U.S. Attorney David Ketchmark, of the Western District of Missouri, Hart had admitted to provding false information in order to gain lines of credit.

Attorney General sues local wedding-venue

Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster has sued West Bottoms Hospitality LLC and its owner Ryan Ronney Crowell for allegedly failing to refund over $40,000 to customers and for cancelling ceremonies.

The suit, filed in Jackson County Circuit Court, seeks an injunction against the company to prevent such violations in the future.  In addition, the State seeks civil penalties and full restitution for customers victimized by West Bottoms Hospitality.

West Bottoms Hospitality is a wedding-venue and wedding service provider.
