Nationally, lawyers from across the spectrum appear to have increased their average hourly rates in 2011.

Those attorneys in the highest hourly price bracket increased their average hourly rate by approximately 5% last year.

Attorneys in the bottom bracket of hourly prices increased their average rates by 1.3%.

The overall rate increase by attorneys in 2011 was the largest increase since the great recession, with an average rate increase of 5.1% for all attorneys.

Bill Randles, a Kansas City attorney at Shook, Hardy & Bacon and Republican challenger to incumbent Missouri Governor Jay Nixon, released his college transcripts on Thursday.

Randles released the grades in response to allegations that his Republican primary challenger for governor, David Spence, earned his degree not in economics, but in home economics.

By the time this article was published, Randles appears to have received nothing lower than a B.

Randell Wood, a UMKC law grad with offices in Kansas City and Springfield, and his son Noah attempted to sign Gadhafi as a client back in April when the Libyan leader was in a bloody power struggle.  They asked for a $10 Million dollar retainer.
