KC attorney conducts bond sale
The citizens of the City of Senath in Missouri recently voted to approve a bond issue for road improvements.
With the initiative’s passing, bonds are to sell to Senath citizens in $5000 increments.
The bond sale is set to begin today, Wednesday March 14th.
Kansas City attorney Tyson Markham, of the McLiney and Company law firm based in Kansas City, will conduct the sale.
According to the Daily Dunklin Democrat:”[Markham will] be here in the city hall on Wednesday from 10 [a.m.] until 12 [noon] and even longer if there are people coming in wanting to buy the bonds,” Mayor Joe Lane said, adding, “The bonds will be sold in $5,000 increments. People of the town and the community have first choice then the bank and then they’ll sell it to other banks. There will be no problem selling them but they’re just giving the people here a chance to buy them.”
Lane noted the interest rate would be 3.9 to 4 percent and would be non-taxable, tax- free.
